Boost Your Mood With These 6 Feel Good Videos

There’s nothing quite like a silly video to lift your spirits and brighten your day. And, no, we’re not just talking about clips of dancing cats and laughing babies—although, we have to admit that those are pretty entertaining.

But, the depth of the Internet extends far past those quick, funny snippets. In fact, there are plenty of fun, interesting, and inspirational videos out there that are not only fun to watch, but can also offer some tips that are relevant to your life as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or Administrative Assistant.

So, Ninjas, we scoured the Internet and took a few of your favorite recommendations, and here’s what we came up with. Prepare to be entertained.

Gettin’ Jiggy With It

Talk about getting the day started the right way! As this video shows, the employees at Accenture in Mumbai, India begin each workday with a lively five minute dance session. They actually have some pretty sweet moves (it must be the daily practice), and I’m willing to bet you’ll find yourself bopping along to the beat while watching. Bookmark this video and show it to your boss—maybe you can start your day with a dance party too!

Dance Like Uma Thurman

You know how hearing that song you love can immediately give you an attitude boost and inspire you to go out there and tackle your day? Well, Fall Out Boy’s Uma Thurman is one of those songs. But, what’s even better than the catchy tune? The music video. The woman featured throughout the clips actually won a contest to be Fall Out Boy’s assistant for 24 hours. And, let’s just say that the crazy things she got to do make for a way better day than we’ve ever had in the office. Oh, and fair warning—you’ll definitely be humming this song all day.

Receptionist for an Hour

I’m sure we’ve all had those moments when we just wished that someone else would have to walk in our shoes at work—even if it was only for an hour. Well, in this video, Nylon’s receptionist got that very chance when Daniel Radcliffe (yes, Harry Potter) took her spot. In the end? Well, he found out that the position involved a little more than he thought. I think he’ll stick with acting as his day job.

Office Expectations

We all know that Buzzfeed puts together some hilarious videos. So, it’s no surprise that this video about things that inevitably happen when you work in an office tickles our funny bones—plus, it’s completely spot on. Seriously, check it out and see how many of these things you can relate to. I’m willing to bet there are a lot of them!

Workplace Mysteries Solved

You know those weird questions about work that pop into your head throughout the day—like, why do you get so sleepy after lunch? Well, in this video, Mashable’s Elliott Morgan uses science to explain some of those common mysteries in under one minute! Not only will you have answers to those burning questions, but you’ll also be able to impress your co-workers with your new knowledge.

Office Food Hacks

With only a random assortment of supplies in your office breakroom, you’re pretty limited when it comes to dining at work. Luckily, this video offers some awesome hacks to address some of those common issues you run into while eating in the office! From microwave hacks to boiling an egg in coffee (yes, you read that right), you’re sure to get some new creative ideas. Bon appetit, Ninjas!

There you have it. You laughed and, well, laughed some more. Even better? You probably learned something new. See? We told you those videos were sure to lift your spirits and expand your knowledge—no dancing cats or laughing babies required.

    1. Great addition, Lis! Do you keep a few different ones bookmarked for different situations?

  1. Love the Receptionist for an Hour. Always thought every manager should take a turn at our jobs for a day to see all the interruptions (especially from other managers).
