This is Your Cohort’s Community Space
Welcome to the Leadership & Communication Summer Cohort, [user_meta field=”first_name”].
Through UC Berkeley’s esteemed Executive Education program, countless top executives from across all industries have uncovered their authentic leadership style. And now, through our Leadership & Communication course, so will you.
This is the only executive-level course of its kind for the Admin+ profession. And we couldn’t be more excited to enter into this new era of learning with you.
Consider this community space your homebase for the course. It contains logistical details, preparatory materials, and a designated space for you to engage with fellow cohort members.
We’ll continue to add need-to-know information over the coming weeks to set you up for success. You’ll be alerted each time we make an update.
This course will be unlike anything else you’ve experienced. It’ll challenge you to leave your comfort zone to identify your weaknesses and transform them into strengths.
Get ready for a transformational experience!

Discovering Your Authentic Leadership
Reading time: 24 minutes
We all have the capacity to inspire and empower others. But we must first be willing to devote ourselves to our personal growth and development as leaders.
The Trust Equation
Reading time: 30 minutes
The trust equation says that a professional’s trustworthiness is dependent on their credibility, reliability, intimacy, and self-orientation. Learn how a trust-based strategy is a profitable strategy.
Rejecting the Success/Failure Paradigm and Practicing the Art of Possibility
Reading time: 39 minutes
In this chapter, the authors encourage the practice of moving away from a place of measuring how a person stacks up against external standards and towards a place of respect that gives that person room to imagine new possibilities and realize themselves.
The Danger of a Single Story
Watch time: 19 minutes
Our lives, our cultures, are composed of many overlapping stories. Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice — and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding.
