Have No Fear, The Office Ninjas Are Here!

Wednesday night over 200 of the Bay Area’s top Office Managers, Executive Assistants, and Operations Specialists came together for the 2nd Annual OfficeNinjas Spring Fling in celebration of 4/23 Admin Day! What a night, where fellow Office Ninjas came together to unite and step into the well-deserved spotlight! With amazing networking opportunities, vendor demos, tasty food, great wine and unbelievable raffle prizes, the night was surely something to remember!

The event was held at the amazing ‘wichcraft which provided us with gourmet sandwiches and tasty treats. Wine, beer and sangria were sponsored by SF Room Service complete with butler service, yes we said it, butler service. Upstairs we walked down treat and snack lane which included KRAVE Jerky (for us meat loving folks) or the infused cotton candy I never knew I loved from Sugar & Spun, I mean this was some seriously good stuff.

Downstairs we were greeted by some vendors, who quite frankly are revolutionizing the world for us Office Ninjas. Shyp lives by its slogan, it is “The easiest way to ship anything”. Live at the event we signed up for the service, snapped a photo of a box (full of goodies) to send to our address of choice and bamm the Shyp courier showed up, took the box, tracked the package and it was in route to our destination. No shipping label, box or anything needed…JUST A PIC IN THEIR APP AND YOU ARE DONE. I mean, who will ever go to the post office again?

CLASH took team building to a whole new level! This was a great way to break the ice, meet new friends and create relationships with our fellow Office Ninjas! There were over 50 raffle prizes, totaling over 15K! Some giveaways included yoga classes, wine-making trips, weekend getaways (I won one to Santa Cruz, whoop!), free lunch for a month, an iPad mini, many other vendor gifts, even 2 roundtrip tickets provided by Delta Air Lines! We felt truly appreciated and want to give a BIG thank you to all companies who donated such AWESOME giveaways!

The event was SUCH a hit, that party crashers tried to enter the party, they said they wished they were Office Ninjas because of all the love we were getting. Ha! However tonight was about us. In our industry, at times, we are not treated with the respect and honor we deserve. It was great to celebrate ONE night of love, but this should really be an everyday affair. In San Francisco, the tech industry is very agile, fast paced, creative and cut-throat. The importance of an Office Ninja in a growing startup is SO important as we are the brick and mortar of the company, they cannot function without us. It is up to US to change the view of the admin role and let it be known without an Office Ninja there is NO OFFICE.
