#BossMode Playlist: Global Jams For the Worldly Ninja
Jamming out to tunes at work can sometimes be problematic when you actually need to concentrate on what you’re doing. I envy people who can listen to music and read at the same time (or rather listen to music and retain what they are reading). One of my favorite lifehacks for being able to get my chair dance on and read at the same time is listening to music in other languages.
So I present to you, dear ninjas: #BossMode: World Music Edition. Accompanied, as always, by GIFS for your enjoyment, as well as how to say “my hovercraft is full of eels” in each song’s language (because you never know when that phrase may come in handy).
Carmen by Stromae – Belgium
Mon aéroglisseur est plein d’anguilles (French)
Mein Luftkissenfahrzeug ist voller Aale (German)
Mijn luchtkussenboot zit vol paling (Dutch)
(There are three official languages of Belgium, so it’s only fair to include them all.)
Somos Sur by Ana Tijoux – Chile (by way of France)
Mi aerodeslizador está lleno de anguilas
Babaraba by Kiwi – Mongolia
Миний хөвөгч онгоц могой загасаар дүүрсэн байна

Fiesta by Bomba Estéreo – Columbia
Mi aerodeslizador está lleno de anguilas
Artistiya by Amadou & Mariam – Mali
If anyone can say this phrase in Bambara share it with us in the comments!
