An Important Announcement From OfficeNinjas Founders →We’re Taking a Hiatus

Admingle With Us at the First Ever OfficeNinjas Retreat

Editor’s Note: The Admingling Retreat was a BIG hit! Check out our recap here.

Here’s the deal with company retreats: even at their absolute best, they rarely dig into the nuts and bolts of #NinjaLife. They’re great for company-wide goal-setting, team building, and some good, old-fashioned inter-departmental karaoke, but rarely do they give Ninjas any true opportunities for professional development.

As a rockstar office pro, what you really want is to talk shop with other Office Ninjas from different industries. You want to learn from your peers in a focused environment that only a retreat can provide. You’re looking for the inspiration and motivation to do your job even more efficiently. And you wouldn’t mind accomplishing all of this in an award-winning resort in the Santa Cruz Mountains with gorgeous views of Monterey Bay.

If all of that sounds about right, then we’ve got a little something on the books that might interest you.

Introducing… the OfficeNinjas Admingling Retreat

Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, CA

November 13-14, 2015

We’re talking 24 hours of team building, networking, stimulating fireside chats (or poolside—Chaminade has an outdoor heated pool), plus meals, a rejuvenating night’s sleep in one of Chaminade’s deluxe guestrooms, and even a relaxing chair massage. All at the resort’s stunning 300-acre property, which includes miles of hiking trails, a beach volleyball court, and an on-site ropes course.

Oh, and did we mention it’s FREE? That’s right. Thanks to our friends at the Chaminade, this retreat is complimentary for up to 30 ninjas from the OfficeNinjas community.

What to Expect

Check out what the Chaminade team is capable of! As for our retreat… well, that’s a surprise!

We’ll start the retreat at 2 PM on Friday and conclude just after lunch on Saturday. Please submit an application only if you are able to provide your own transportation and attend the retreat in its entirety. Ninjas who want to stay an extra night on November 14 and take advantage of everything Chaminade has to offer can do so for a discounted rate of $129 a night.

To get the most out of the experience, we’ll be putting together a dynamic group of ninjas who’ve made contributions to the admin community through their actions and shared wisdom.

Sound like you? Please submit an application to be considered for attendance. We encourage every applicant to set aside some uninterrupted time to complete their application before October 7, 2015. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by October 13, 2015.

This is going to be THE retreat you’ve always dreamed of, so don’t let this opportunity pass you by! Get to work on that application and submit it by October 7th!

  6. Very bummed that I will be out of the country and unable to attend.

    1. Sorry to hear it, Kim! At least you’ll be on an adventure, though. Right? Hopefully you’ll be available for upcoming events, though!

    2. I will be there!!! Can’t wait!!!

  9. I am assuming flight and hotel are attendees responsibility. How much is the hotel?

    1. Hi Susan, just above the “Apply to Join Us” sub-heading is this:
“We’ll start the retreat at 2 PM on Friday and conclude just after lunch on Saturday. Please submit an application only if you are able to provide your own transportation and attend the retreat in its entirety. Ninjas who want to stay an extra night on November 14 and take advantage of everything Chaminade has to offer can do so for a discounted rate of $129 a night.”

So it appears that flight is the applicant’s responsibility and hotel the night of Oct 13 is complimentary.

      1. ACK! November 13 I meant :-/

          1. Thanks, Connie!

And Susan, the first night is included in the event! While we ask that all attendees be responsible for their own transportation, you’re not on the hook for the hotel stay the first night. :)

  10. THIS IS SO AMAZING! I am so glad I found this group! This is going to be such a great way to network and chat with other Office Ninjas in a more relaxing (not crazy office) setting! And in Santa Cruz?! It doesn’t get more relaxing then that!

    1. When you’re right, you’re right, Janine! We’re so excited for this trip for this exact reason!

  11. What a wonderful idea! I wish I could attend but living in Alaska puts a little kink in your own transportation there. Maybe someday soon you can come for a visit.

    1. Oof! That is a bit of a trip, isn’t it? How big is the admin community in Alaska? ;)

      1. Just a bit of a trip, yes and the community is quite large. Honestly…they would come in to Anchorage from the villages for training and a bit of fun along with it. :)

        1. Duly noted, Tana! We’d love to connect with more admins from around Alaska. Feel free to send any of them in your circle our way!
